CVA DX CONTEST RULES

 

 

1.PERÍODO:

COMPETITION RULES GREEN AND YELLOW

 

2.1 Categories CW and SSB:

a) Single Operator - Single Band High Power: 10, 15, 20, 40 and 80m (SOSB HP): All work and logging operation run by one person (the operator). Only one transmitted signal is permitted at any time. The output power shall not exceed the maximum allowed by the law in force in the country. (1st place awards for national and international).

b) Single Operator - Single Band Low Power (up to 100W): 10, 15, 20, 40 and 80m (SOSB LP): All work and logging operation run by one person (the operator). Only one transmitted signal is permitted at any time. The total output power shall not exceed 100W (awards for 1st place 1st place national and international).

 c) Single Operator - All Bands QRP (up to 5 w) (SOAB QRP): All work and logging operation run by one person (the operator). Only one transmitted signal is permitted at any time.  The total output power must not exceed 5w (awards for 1st place 1st place national and international).


d) Single Operator - All Bands High Power (SOAB HP): All Jobs operation and registration are performed by one person (the operator).  The output power shall not exceed the maximum allowed by the law in force in the country. (1st place awards for national and international 1st place).

 
e) Single Operator - All Bands Low Power (SOAB LP): All work and logging operation run by one person (the operator). Only one transmitted signal is permitted at any time. The maximum output power must not exceed 100 watts (1st place awards for 1st place national and international).

 
f) MIL: (multi stations - op, located in Military Units or installations of Military Justice) (MULTI-OP MIL): In this category the operators may be civilian or military stations operating within military units, armed forces or auxiliaries, as well as Audits of Military Justice or in the headquarters of the Superior Military Tribunal. Only one transmitted signal is permitted at any time. The output power shall not exceed the maximum allowed by the law in force in the country. (Awards: 1st  place nationally and 1st  international).

 
g) Single Operator Military - Low power all bands (SOAB MIL LP): (Active Military, Reserve paid, Officers and Sergeants R / 2 or Reformed the three Armed Forces and Reserve Forces - Military Police and Fire Department Military). All work related to operation and registration is performed by one person (the operator). Only one transmitted signal is permitted at any time. The maximum output power must not exceed 100 watts. (Awards  1st place national and international).

 
h) Single Operator Military - High Power All Bands (SOAB MIL HP): (Active Military, Reserve paid, Officers and Sergeants R / 2 or Reformed the three Armed Forces and Reserve Forces - Military Police and Fire Department Military). All work related to operation and registration is performed by one person (the operator). Only one transmitted signal is permitted at any time.  The output power shall not exceed the maximum allowed by the law in force in the country. (Awards 1st place national and international).
 

i) Single Operator Amateur Brazilian Army Friend - Low Power all Bands (SOAB RAEB LP): Amateur Brazilian project members Radoiamador Friend Brazilian Army (RAEB) and appearing in the list of cadatro CRAEC. All work related to operation and registration is performed by one person (the operator). Only one transmitted signal is permitted at any time. The maximum output power must not exceed 100 watts. (Awards for 1st  place national).

 

 

J) Single Operator Amateur Brazilian Army Friend - High Power all Bands (SOAB RAEB HP): Amateur Brazilian project members Radoiamador Friend Brazilian Army (RAEB) and appearing in the list of cadatro CRAEC. All work related to operation and registration is performed by one person (the operator). Only one transmitted signal is permitted at any time. The maximum output power must not exceed 1000 watts. (Awards for 1st place national).
 
K) Multi - Operator - Single Transmitter all band low power (MULTI ONE LP): More than one person can contribute to the final score during the official contest period. Only one transmitted signal is permitted at any time. The output power shall not exceed 100W (one hundred watts). (Awards for  1st placed national and  international).

 
L) Multi - Operator - Single Transmitter all band high power (MULTI ONE HP): More than one person can contribute to the final score during the official contest period. Only one transmitted signal is permitted at any time. The output power shall not exceed the maximum allowed by the law in force in the country. (Awards for 1st placed national and international).

 
 M) Multi Operator - Two Transmitter (MULTI-TWO): More than one person can contribute to the final score during the official contest period. A maximum of two signals transmitted at any time is allowed in different bands. Any of the transmitters can work any and all stations. A station may be worked once per band regardless of which transmitter is used. The output power shall not exceed the maximum allowed by the law in force in the country. (Awards for 1st  placed nationally and 1st  placed international).

 
O) Clubs: (Sum of score of all members): In this category there will be prizes for first, second and third place national and international first place.

 
P) HQ (Labres and Associations Recognized by IARU): In this category there will be prizes for 1st and 2nd placed 1st nationally and internationally.

 
Q) TEEN Single Operator (under 17): In this category there will be awards for first place nationally and internationally.

 

R) YL Single Operator: Exclusive for amateur radio, awards for 1st and placed 2nd National and 1st and 2nd placed internationally.

 

ORVELAY: SUB CW and SSB

 
a) ROOKIE (beginner): to participate in this category, the operator must have been licensed to three (3) years or less from the date of the competition. Indicate the date of the first license in the field SOAPBOX and never having participated in the CVA DX with another code.(1st place awards for national and international).

 
b) Demonstration (Demonstration): to participate in this category, the station should be installed in public places such as parks, fairs, exhibitions, events in general, schools and other places open to the public. Visitation will be proven by means of copies of records of visits, photographs, news media or other form of proof. The proof of the operation condition should be made by sending the scanned documents by e-mail together with the Log is not permitted to plant operation by unskilled operators and demonstrate the operation of the station can not under any circumstances disrupt the smooth running of the dynamics of the contest. The station must have a ham radio operator in the role of the Media to be responsible for the demonstration without prejudice to the operation. 4. VALIDATION OF QSO:

1) will be valid all QSO confirmed a station worked per band.
 

a) Stations Brazilian

Contacts between stations in Brazil = 2 pts

Contacts between stations in Brazil and DX = 3 pts

b) E s t a tio n s D X

Contacts between stations in the same country = 1 pt

Contacts between stations in different countries = 1 pt

Contacts with stations in Brazil = 3 pts

 

c) All Seasons

Contacts with the station director (PT2CVA) = 10 pts

Contacts with stations MIL, YL, TEEN, FD, MIL, HQ or RB = 5 pts (regardless of country) Contacts with stations QRP = 3 pts (regardless of country).

 

2) Validation of QSO with station nonparticipating (no indication Log)

   QSO with a station non-participant CVA will be valid only if:

     a) The indicator is present in at least five (05) participants and Logs stations;

    b) Another participating station has registered the same callsign not participating in the same band and a time interval of ten (10) minutes.

 

3) Indicative present in only one (01) single Log UNIQUES be called and considered as registry errors QSO.

 

5. MULTIPLIERS:

Two types of multipliers will be used:

M1) Multiplier for different UF contacted by Brazilian band. Example PY1CJ logged in 28,000 Hz and 14,000 Hz add two (02) multipliers

M2) other than country A multiplier computed only once in all the bands.

Example N1MM logged in 28,000 Hz and 14,000 Hz sum 01 (one) multiplier.

 

Attention: In the module N1MM stations with exchagers "MIL, YL, TEEN, FD, MIL, QRP, HQ or RB" are not being counted as multipliers UF, but the program calculate the CVA they will be counted as multipliers normally.

 

Allowed contacts with stations of the country itself for the credit multiplier.

6. FINAL SCORE

The final score is calculated by the following formula:

Total final score = sum of QSO points from all bands x [M1 (UF by bands) + M2 (Countries crafted of all bands)].

 

7. PENALTIES:

 

    Indicative incorrect: QSO loss for the station you mistype the indicative;

    Exchanges incorrect: (exchange registration do not match the exchange sent by another station, and can only be used in the exchange provided CVA) loss for the ham radio QSO incorrectly noted that the exchange;

    Duplicate QSO: no fee however only one QSO will be validated;

    Error band change log: loss of QSOs in the band entered incorrectly;

    Time tolerance in the log: the difference is tolerated five (5) minutes between QSOs, the QSO out it is invalidated for both;

     Log shipping paper or formats not supported by the system verification: loss of all QSOs (it is admitted that the amateur can fix your Log refused by system verification during the stage of sending logs since only with regard to the format of Log header);

    The use of DX Cluster is allowed, but the auto-spot is forbidden: loss of 100 points for self-spot proven

    Marking QSY to other bands for QSO validation: warning and disqualification for repeat offenders

    Calling station in QRG call another station: (existing means of proof and since the call is intentional, where the act is judged unintentional is not punishable). The Organization of the CVA through the station director PT2CVA act as arbitrator IN ALL QRGs. If you see the infraction warn ostensibly station in QRG occurring reincindência be subject to the loss of one thousand (1,000 points). Stations that suffer penalties shall be entitled to contradictory and full defense for organizing the CVA DX.

 

8. RESOURCES

        The Organization of the CVA DX CONTEST only accept funds, within five (5) days after completing the shipments of logs SSB phase and publication of Claimed Scores and 48 hours after the announcement of the final results of the CVA DX CONTEST.

 

9. DECLARATION:

By submitting an entry to the CVA DX CONTEST you agree that:

1) you have read and understand the contest rules and agree to follow the same,

2) you have operated in accordance with all rules and regulations pertaining to amateur radio in his country,

3) your log can be open to the public,

4) all actions and decisions of the CVA DX Contest Committee are official and final.

 

10. LOGS AND RESULTS:

1) All entries must be submitted on the website of CVA (http://www.cvadx.org) until the 09th sep, year of the contest

The log should be sent to the Cabrillo formats: craec.cw@gmail.com and craec.ssb@gmail.com - putting in the email subject only station callsign example PS7AA

2) Recommended Software for Log record is the N1MM, upgrade from Version: N1MM-newexeV13.07.03.exe.
